On the Seekirchner Kapellenweg with fantastic panoramic views, you hike or bike from chapel to chapel: Over 20 chapels show the way through the beautiful landscape!
In the municipal area of Seekirchen there are many churches, chapels and wayside shrines ("Schachern"). In order to preserve the stories surrounding these cultural monuments, many of them have been equipped with display boards on which you can read what only a few people from Seekirchen can remember.
In cooperation with the municipality of Seekirchen, the Seekirchen Tourist Association has linked these churches, chapels and wayside shrines to form a hiking and cycling trail. The starting point in each case is the collegiate parish church in the center of Seekirchen. The bicycle route starts at the collegiate parish church and leads through Mühlberg, Mayerlehen, Mödlham, Schöngumprechting and back to the town center.
The hiking route starts at the collegiate parish church and runs in the direction of Seeburg Castle, Tödtleinsdorf, Unterkriechham to Waldprechting and back to the city center.
The two routes can also be combined. On the connecting section is the youngest chapel of the trail, which was built by the Landjugend Seekirchen. Culinary delights from the Salzburger Seenland await you in the numerous refreshment stops.
